Design and Motifs

The field carries a large scale all over floral composition with no central medallion, so the pattern reads continuously from end to end and furniture can sit anywhere without cutting off a focal point. Long gold and ivory vines arch across the open ground, carrying broad serrated palmettes, split leaves, 8 petal rosettes and small star flowers, with charcoal and red tulip forms breaking the symmetry just enough to keep it from looking printed. The layout mirrors top to bottom, so the same pair of red palmettes and the same yellow vine loop repeat at each end.
