The main border alternates a leafy bouquet inside a shell shaped reserve with a smaller cusped medallion holding a single blossom, and it is framed on both sides by narrow guard stripes of linked rosettes and paired leaflets. Corners are resolved cleanly rather than cut off mid motif, a sign the weavers followed a proper cartoon.
