This is a brand new, never used Chobi Peshawar in the Ziegler taste, hand-knotted in natural wool on a cotton foundation and measuring a true room size at 110" x 144". The field is a quiet camel beige, the wide main border a soft mustard gold, and the drawing is open enough that the rug reads as a calm neutral from across a room while the detail rewards a closer look. Design and Motifs

The layout is a true all-over floral design with no central medallion, built on a loose lattice of thin curling vines that sweep across the field like cloudbands. Spaced along that vine work are broad serrated palmettes, 8 petal rosettes drawn in rust and dark brown, small sprays of angular leaves, and elongated lancet leaf forms that lean toward the corners. Each of the 4 corners carries a large dark brown palmette cartouche, giving the open field its anchor points, and a stepped brown cresting motif sits at the top and bottom of the field on the center axis. The border system runs 3 bands deep: a narrow inner guard, a wide gold main band filled with alternating palmettes and leafy stems, and a rust outer stripe finished with ivory cotton fringe at both ends. The spacing is generous throughout, which is what keeps a pattern this detailed from feeling busy underfoot.

The Beige, Gold and Rust Palette

Color is the reason this rug works in a modern room. The ground is a warm camel beige carrying gentle abrash, the natural horizontal striation that comes from dye lot to dye lot variation in handspun wool, visible clearly in the close field photographs. Against it the main border shifts to a honeyed mustard gold, edged by a terracotta rust guard stripe that turns almost salmon where the light catches the pile.
