The 4 corner spandrels repeat the same vocabulary at reduced scale, framing an ivory field that is not left open at all: it is filled with detached floral sprays, curling boteh, small grape-cluster palmettes and thin vine tendrils that mirror across both axes. The main border is a wide dark ground carrying alternating rosette cartouches and fan palmettes, flanked by several narrow guard stripes of running vine.
