Design and Motifs

Around it the ivory field runs a curvilinear vine that carries paired palmettes, garden roses, carnations and serrated olive green leaves, each cluster mirrored across both axes so the layout reads balanced from any seat. The 4 corner spandrels repeat the medallion green and are filled with large scrolling gold arabesques, the kind of heavy acanthus curl that only holds its shape at a high knot count.
